sigh of relief

Now that my papers done I feel a mix of emotions. Im excited that its done as well as relieved. I dont really enjoy big projects just because they can be so nerve wrecking. I feel confident about writing, then again I have done so many I usually know the process and end up doing pretty well. My idea of writing is the same. I will do it because I have to but it is not my favorite syle of writing. I like free writing. I think for the next paper I will write about obesity. i did like my topic though. I feel my topic was captivating and tense.

Christmas

Christmas is around the corner. My husband and I put up the tree and decorated the house with lights. I must say this is my favorite time of they year. Although I do wish it wasnt so much about gifts and more about spending family time together. Im all grown up now and dont want any gifts for me, and I dont want to spend so much money getting them either ( with an exeption for the kids of course ) Im looking into volunteering somewhere at a homeless shelter or something or womans shelter. or doing the adopt a family thing. Id rather help those less fortunate than those like myself who sit up in a cozy house surrounded by warmth and things. Anyways thats just my take.

SCHOOOL

I dont mind my peers reviewing my work. I think its great feedback and also a great way to keep everyone involved. Everyone has been informative and helpful. Even though I havent recieved responses directly to my paper I have been able to see what others were saying about eachothers. Nothing shocking, I have written many papers. Its all research I have learned alot about my topic though. It has been interesting.

In the Past

In the past 6 weeks I have been staying very busy with school, work and the baby room. Oh and I finally bought a family vehicle. Every weekend I find myself doing chores. I have 72 days till my husband and I have our first child so I am trying to prepare myself accordingly. My ideas can help me with further research by taking the steps I take for this paper and if they work, I can apply it to another paper. As to any new ideas becoming a crazy breakthrough in the future, not going to happen. I use basic steps in my research process and writing process.

My Personal writing process is very simple. I like to use brainstorming and listing. Brainstorming allows me to write in a scattered manner, and listing helps me to become a little more organized. Overall though I would say the most effecient type of writing for me is free writing. There is no pressure, no certain requirements its just a go aheah and write. A few years back all I used to do was write poetry and poetry can be written in a free writing form. SO its kind of also what I am used to. The challenge is time naturally, between work, my own chores and school all cramed in a week by week time frame. But I always manage to master it. At this point with a baby on the way, It has influenced me to get A's and B's because Im going to want that out of her when she starts school. And now I can say look mommy did it you can too.

Give Credit where Credit is due!!

Writing is essential for school as well as writing papers and researching topics. It is important that we cite our papers so that the writing is getting his proper credibility. If we do not reference our papers than we are plagerising. Plagerism is a fancy term for stealing. If you get caught stealing your can get kicked out of school. It is very important that were careful.

I enjoy being an online student. The flexibility is amazing especially when you spend 13 hours a day on post! But I loved it most being in Afghanistan. I got to serve my country and still make time for myself and my future. I didnt have to necessarily put a whole year of my life on hold.

Being apart of the Blog-O-Sphere is great because it gives you the opportunity to meet new people and read on more topics than you can imagine. Its a good feeling knowing that your not the only one out there that may believe in a certain thing. You can always find someone to relate to.

Online

Online schooling has been a controversy for some time now. I really dont understand why. I used to attend a traditional classroom enviromented school. I was so easily bored or distracted. With online I actually have to teach my self the work and I can do it at my own pace. I learn my way. People dont believe you can get the same one on one learning with online schooling but you can. You just have to apply your self and keep yourself involved and that is no different than being in a classroom enviroment. ALOT of us lead busy lives, and find its hard to make time to work and be a parent and go to school. Now we can come home start dinner, listen to a seminar, read our required work and so on and so forth, or if your as fortunate as me you can even do some at work!

I personally love the online learning way of things. Especially that I am Active Army. I was able to complete some classes overseas.

School, work, Pregnancy- i need energy

Hello Everyone,

Im having a great weekend. I just put together my daughters room. Well kind of, I keep getting more and more things :) she is already spoiled and not even here yet.

This picture i have up is not even half of what she has recieved. But its coming along. The closer it gets to her being here the more anxious I get. HAHA its ridiculous how impatient I am.

As for school, Its definitley been a challenge between work and house, and baby room and juggling it all around school. I think I am doing fairly well though. Im still trying to pick a topic for my paper. There are so many things to chose from that all have my interest. Hopefully by tomorrow I can figure it out.

My name is Tina Sempeck. I currently live in North Carolina. (all thanks to the Army) Im originally from Nebraska. I am married to my highschool love of my life. We have been married now 2 and 1/2 years. We are expecting our first child. Im 6 months pregnant with a little girl. We are very excited. I honestly have no Heros. Sad I know but people I did look up to when growing up turned out to be everything but a hero. If anything I look to myself and husband. Together we try to be better people. Im working on becoming in ultrasound technician althought at the time im unable to do so due to the Army. I will be getting out in Aug 2011. In the mean time im working on Plan B which is becoming a medical assistant. I feel a good story is better written by someone who has experienced what they have written. To me i am more engaged in a story if the writer is good. If the writer keeps my mind engaged by painting a clear picture I will read on. I intend to gain better writing skill out of this class. I do like this blogging idea so i hope it continues.
